Pezeshkian congratulates Christians on Christmas

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended congratulations to Christians all around the world on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a message congratulating Christians on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The president published the message in English on his personal account on social media.

“On the blessed occasion of Christmas, I extend my warmest greetings to Christians in Iran and around the world,” he wrote.

“Jesus Christ (PBUH) is revered in our tradition as a messenger of compassion, justice, and mercy. May his timeless message inspire dignity and peace among all nations.”

The Iranian President sent a message to Pope Leo XIV, leader of the Catholic Church, extending his congratulations on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ and the arrival of the 2026 New Year.

In his Thursday message, the Iranian president highlighted the spiritual virtues of Jesus, including freedom, justice, and compassion, praised in the holy Quran, as timeless examples for humanity.

The president also met the family of Razmik Khachatorian, a Christian martyr of Iran, to pay tribute to his memory.

Pezeshkian honored the memory of the martyr and expressed appreciation for the patience, sacrifice, and resilience of martyrs’ families.
